The new domain is up and running. Thank you for following this blog. I will leave this site up, but it has been removed from being indexed. I’ve removed several of the pages, but if you need to reach me, please see the new site.
I’m participating in Zine Shine, which is an in-person and online event. My Tadaai logs zine will be available for purchase at the Issues Magazine Shop, and online, during that time.
The Shibari Zine: Red Threads Volume 2 Kickstarter V2 is live! You can check out the project that I’m a part of, there’s quite a few tiers to choose from. The campaign will run until June 9, 2024.
I’ve also dispatched the Canzine zines to Broken Pencil, where they will be handling the shipping. Thank you everyone that bought from my storefront, it really means a lot to me! It’s been a very, very long time since I’ve attempted to make comics in a longer form, and I know I still have a lot to learn. I actually spent the day at Word Balloon Academy today, but I’ll save that write-up for another day.
If you missed out, you can actually buy midnight amaretto Tadashi Kikuchi x Ainosuke Shino fancomic in-person or online at The Beguiling. I’ve already posted this in a few places (that I realized wasn’t too easy to find), but I have put the above comic on itch.io as a free download. You can check it out below.
Spring online Canzine has started! You can visit the site at canzine.ca, and I’ll be under the fanzine category. The zines are shipped together from the organizers, so you can pick up a few zines from different zinesters in one place. This event runs from April 13-30, 2024.
Hello! I’m here to announce a panel/talk that I’m doing at Con-G (formerly located in Guelph, but now online). The topic will be zines that you can make, and the zines I’ve previously made. You can check out the full schedule on con-g.ca.
Here’s the very delayed announcement for Citrus Con! I’ll be in in the online artist alley this weekend from August 26-27, 2023. The Bigcartel shop will open that time, but here’s a preview of what’s to come.
New items
Habanera zine…but physical. It will have a colour cover and is printed on 32-lb paper. 8 pages. You can still get version one for free on itch.io.
Holographic stickers: There’s 2 new designs! One is based on the fujin design I made for Redbubble, but holographic. The second design is a shiny version of the emote that I made for the TadaAi emote set.
I’m also running a panel on Saturday August 26 at 7pm-8pm EDT! The topic will be Towards a more accessible fandom: Making your BL creations more accessible on the web.
And that’s all for now. I’d like to take a rest and work on some personal projects and think about things I want to do next year after Citrus Con.
The next post will contain the details for Citrus Con, but I will attending the convention and having a virtual table. I’ll be in the online artist alley at the end of August, and the Bigcartel store will open at that time. I’m working on some prints. I wanted to do the zine printing, but it didn’t work out, so hopefully some other time. I’m also doing a panel on Saturday evening as well.
CitrusCon is an 18+ queer media con that is free to attend, so feel free to register if you’re interested! (Come say hi on Discord if you do register~)
TadaAi Logs
I have opted not to sell the above at this time because the printing places that have quoted me were very high, and the place I printed at for the above had some strange banding and cutting, which is what is to be expected for the price I paid for them. I only made a small handful of copies to gift friends and drop off at the local zine library, or trade.
I also made this fun shipper’s manifesto for fun, and gifted both these zines to the friend that encouraged me by telling me that drawing my own food will make me powerful, haha. Thank you to everyone that has watched over me over these last few years.
