Please! I really need to get out of Matrix to better manage the images, have image usage numbers meaningful and get easier access to file meta data. Please can you add row numbers to the grid and file grid fields?? Pretty please?? |

Suggest an idea for ExpressionEngine
Before we had fluid fields, in EE2, I used Matrix to allow content admins to put all the pages images in the matrix field and then I would stash them as variables that they would put in the wysiwyg field by entering {image2}, {image3}... But Grid does not show the row numbers so they have to manually count through many rows to figure out the image # as you can see in the screenshot with matrix on the left and grid on the right after running the matrix to grid importer.
Would you kindly make it so the grid field in the publish layout shows the count of the row on each row like Matrix does?
