Dr. Salmon is an absolute torch lighting the way for fledgling and established writers. I do not believe I have a more consistent reader who always manages to go the distance with thoughtful commentaries that read like monitors do for performing musicians - allowing band to hear what it is they are performing and to adjust or continue what works accordingly. I recommend him unswervingly with both gratitude and grace. His own work is light years ahead of my own.
