This newsletter is moving. What does that mean for you? Almost nothing.
In search of simplicity, I’m moving this Sunday newsletter onto the same platform as our New Moon Mail.
You should have ALREADY received an email from the other platform. If not, it’s probably caught in your spam folder, so you need to re-subscribe:
Until next Sunday,
Lizzie

I’ve spent the past two weeks with Nico’s family in the Austrian Alps—skiing, cooking, eating kaspressknödelsuppe (cheese dumpling soup), sauna-ing, and cold plunging through the ice of a frozen pond. I haven’t unrolled my yoga mat or opened my computer much, and it’s been exactly what I needed.
I believe in cycles: time for work, time for rest, time for practice, and time to let it all go.
Now, as I think about returning home, I’m looking forward to the quiet sanctuary of my home studio, lighting a candle, the luxury of all my yoga props, and connecting with the rhythm of my breath.
This break reminded me once again that fallow periods aren’t failures—they’re essential. They nourish my creativity, my practice, and my humanity.
Until next Sunday,
Lizzie

Thank you for being here.
Even if you’ve never come on a retreat, or taken a course, or bought a necklace from my Spirit Jewelry collection, I feel your presence.
This ecosystem thrives because of you. By sharing this newsletter with a friend, bookmarking my Amazon link, subscribing to my YouTube channel, or following along on Instagram, you help sustain this work I love: practicing, teaching, writing, and creating about yoga.
Your support, in all its forms, allows me to live this dream—being part of a curious, compassionate, and dedicated circle of yogis.
Sending you a deep namaste across the skies. Wishing you a restful holiday as we step into the new year together.
With love and gratitude,
Lizzie

Yoga wasn’t created for women—it was shaped by a different gender, in a different culture, and a different time. Taught primarily by men who were supported by domestic help, for example, many of the prescriptions about what and how much to practice don’t match the shape of my life today.
As I navigate peri-menopause—balancing work, caregiving, and washing the damn dishes—I’m giving myself permission to let my yoga evolve. Menopause isn’t a mistake; it’s a powerful shift, a time to reclaim rest and a call to reshape this practice to honor our bodies and our lives.
I shared this idea on Instagram recently, and in a longer conversation here on YouTube.
This is why we created Somatic Woman: to embrace rest, wisdom, and the transformation this phase brings. Perhaps you'd like to join us on this self-paced journey? Here's a special 20% off coupon for you.
Sending big love for a warm holiday season.
Until next Sunday,
Lizzie
