Panic!
In which Rat is at a loss
Good time of the day, humans!

Cousin: — Every new day there is a new panic! This won’t end well! Why aren’t you saying anything?
Rat: — I’m trying to recall the proper scientific term for panicking about the panics of others.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no word for that. «Metapanic» is general anxiety about your own worries (that you might have forgotten to worry about something); and so is «panikophobia», which I picked from one of those helpful «lists of phobias» circulated on the interwebs.
Perhaps ‘allopanikophobia’ would do.
