I was privileged to spend time with Canadian cartoonist Graeme MacKay a couple of years ago in San Francisco. He is a great cartoonist and draws great caricatures. I love seeing his take on issues here in the U.S. as well as learning about Canadian politics from his work. Like me, he also works for a local paper with "Hamilton" in the title so that's gotta make him even more special.
This lady is at the very top of the profession. I've had the privilege of spending some time with her at AAEC conventions and also served on a discussion panel with her a few years back. Her art, political voice and character set her apart from anyone else in the business.
The only thing that beats Kal the cartoonist is Kal the person. He is one of my favorite individuals and favorite talents when it comes to editorial cartooning. I highly recommend you check him out.
I've met so many intelligent people in this industry and Jack is at the top of the list. The only thing better than his cartoons is reading his columns for the San Francisco Chronicle. Jack is an excellent writer and an extremely needed voice in these times.
Nick is a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist and a great friend. He's been a mentor a confidant and person I've spent years looking up to in this business. You should absolutely be subscribing o his page.
