This Is Me (The Reimagined Remix)
Keala Settle, Kesha & Missy Elliott
What’s a lyric that resonates deeply with you and why?
It's really tough to narrow down a lyric in this song, because all of the lyrics are fantastic.
"When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come
And I'm marchin' on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me"
This whole song makes me emotional every time. And it was release in 2018, exactly when I needed it.

What’s the first song you’d play at a party?
I know it's currently part of a meme, but it's actually such a banger!
What’s a song you’ve had on repeat recently?
I blame PEAK the game. Ever since they released a holiday update with bbno$ and some of his hits, it's been on my "get hyped" playlist 😅
I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)
Whitney Houston

What song reminds you of your first love?
My first boyfriend in college made me a mix CD with this as the first track. Very sweet memory 😊
RATATATA
BABYMETAL & Electric Callboy
What is your favorite song from last year?
This was one of two on repeat for me, but RATATATA was the best collab ever! I played this on repeat for weeks it seemed 🤣 Electric Callboy mixes amazing vocals with electronic music and metal, and BabyMetal is a Japanese kawaii metal band - they finally met for the ultimate combo! 🤘🏽🪩🤘🏽

What artist or band changed your music taste forever? Pick your favorite song of theirs.
Ok this one might sound silly, but I discovered my love for power metal with one of the nerdiest bands out there - Powerglove. My co-worker showed me their music because we both loved gaming, and I was shocked at how cool their covers were. We saw them together in New York City back in the summer of 2018 and I was forever into that genre of metal. The drumming is unreal!

What was your favorite song in high school? Why did it resonate?
This is tough because high school spanned 6 years for me (7-12 grade). We had so many bangers in pop, and dance music, my favorite genres. But today I'll choose the upbeat "Wannabe" by Spice Girls. Girl power, empowerment, and all the things that I stand for, especially today.
